Given that the “other” meaning comes from the scene in Star Wars where Admiral Akbar yells out, “It’s a trap!”, I would recommend replacing the tag for that sense of “trap” with the whole phrase, “it’s a trap”.
Seems to me like the literal meaning of the word ought to take priority over the slang form, especially since the slang one would be easier to find an alternative. I find this picture very cute, and it makes me want to search for similar pictures, but practically all I get is the other type. And specifying the “safe” tag isn’t going to do much good if people are going to remove the “trap” tag entirely from this type of picture. I think making one sort impossible to search for is a worse solution than having two meanings for one tag.
What I mean is that I’m tired of getting these kind images (because trap is on my watch) when I want a trap.
I don’t want to be a whiny bitch but is there anyway to split the difference?
