So? People make pairings based on alot less, like two certain characters that never interacted before until one episode that became mostly commonplace in the fan community(The pairing I’m referring to is FlutterMac btw). As for Comet Tail, his standing as a BP allows the fandom to make a personality for him.

…People still ship Twilight with Comet Tail? I thought that died out after like… a month or something.

I mean seriously, people only did that because they stood next to each other once in a scene (which accounts for 90% of the ships in this fandom, or 90% of anything in this fandom, come to think of it). And Comet Tail is so unremarkable that I can’t even remember what scene that was in which episode.
