Blinders are about reducing peripheral vision, not defocusing.
This is how it would be done if a human were grooming Trenderhoof, I guess.
There are few blind OCs around the pony- and furrynet that their creators and fans like to blindfold, despite, well… ;3
Who needs blinders when you can just take his glasses off?
Like any large herbivore, ponies have a sizable barrel abdomen since the low-energy-density diet demands a large digestive volume.
Since when did getting your hooves shined mean wearing a bridle and a saddle and being restrained?
And a bit… And this was followed by coat brushing. (I think there are four steps to prepping a horse for riding, but I’ve forgotten them all since it’s been about six years since I’ve been to a ranch. :I )
