Haha! We regret it too, sometimes! Then again, the alternative is singling out real people’s real fiction for the purpose of poking fun of it and that’s just not cool.
Still if anyone winds up writing fics off the cards, we’d totally dig it and would love to read it ;D
It’s sort of a mix of Fluxx and Chrononauts with a dash of “let’s keep narrating this increasingly weird story.” It’s a trick taking game, so when you achieve a ship on the grid that counts for one of the goals, you get to keep the goal (and its point value). It’s fun! Although it also requires some table space. :)

How does the game play, anyways? Looking through some of the cards, it kind of gives me a mix of Dominion crossed with Twilight Struggle vibes in terms of game mechanics.
…Twilight Struggle also has a completely different meaning in this context now OH GODS
