Cause its a harder pitch than cutesy kart parts, stickers, ect. You can take your idea and add it to the karts idea. Its the same thing, just more product and more metaphorical darts to throw at the board to see what sticks.
Your idea isnt bad at all, its just not as synergistic as the suits want.
Heh, its just like what cartoon network did a couple times…except they went with the videogame approach several times. XD
Why not? Make the Elements of Harmony, Crystallization, Rainbow Power, Cutie Mark Magic, and Magic Tron Sparkles the power-ups. The toy lines could probably equal the number of power-ups in SMK or MK64 either in the future or now-ish. XD
Not fast enough or in Hasbro’s case. “Not gimmicky enough.”
Or horse races? :j
It’d be neat using the show physics too. Like pegasai made cars having higher jumping ability and less weight and more mobile in air controls.
Or a track in Apploosa where the charging buffalo can be obstacles.
Hell, the game can even spawn a series of toys thatll be iconic.

The N64 remake of Rainbow Road is pathetic. I didn’t even fall off once.
It’s the MK8 version of the retro N64 Rainbow Road track.
