Yeah. and Ursula changed herself back to her true form after Eric snaps out of his hypnotic state. But unlike Ursula, Chrysalis changed herself back to her true form before Shining Armor snaps out of his hypnotic state. I agree that both Ursula and Chrysalis had a connection because they disguised themselves as a bride but nearly kissed or married the mind-controlled prince.

Earlier, even.  
I distinctly remember that as soon as the trailer came out, showing Shining Armor with those green eyes, some anon posted a comparison pic at Ponibooru, with a screencap of hypnotized Eric marrying Vanessa.  
Which was the same thing I thought :-)

Forgot before I hit reply, that when I saw Deleted scenes in a collectible edition, Ariel actually joined in to help Eric defeat Ursula, and it seemed pretty graphic on how she was going to go down, so I guess in a way, this resemblance is a bit more accurate in that way

Although ultimately, it was Prince Eric who impaled Ursula with the boathe used, whereas MLP had the combined efforts of both Shining Armor and Princess Cadance that defeated Chrysalis and her Changeling army.
