Yep. Some people genuinely believe being gay is a “lifestyle choice”.
“Being bullied for being gay? Tone the gay down a bit and the bullies will stop.”
IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE THAT.
It always depends on the individual case. Maybe the person said it with what they thought was good intention but he/she had bad upbringing and then thinks against it later; I’m not saying that’s always the case but it’s a possibility.
Dude, the teacher was being a homophobic. This is wrong. Would you want a school you trust in to have some homophobic failure of a human being? I certainly wouldn’t. Heck, I’d file a report against that teacher and take it to the school’s district/HQ office and complain. Nobody needs to put up with such an atrocious human being who doesn’t have a brain.
Was that what was meant? Perhaps not. Some words are vain, and people should take them in as that; Absolutely useless. Any words that are attempts to destroy, steal, pillage and rape, make-into-poverty, etc (vain, inane nothingness worth less than turds in a septic tank) should be told to go burn in hell. I kid you not, I’m not talking about the people here but the lies? Obliterate them beyond all recognition, seriously.
And they had the audacity to say it anyways?! I hope they get fired. It would be a fitting punishment. But do they ever get laid off? No. Why? Because they whine and beg to the school district to let them stay. It’s wrong in so many ways that they get away with stuff like this. Just fire all of the teachers there and let them live out in the streets like the pathetic hobos they should be.
“The bullies who tormented my friend were encouraged by their parents. Until they got in trouble for it; then, they were viciously beaten for getting into trouble.”
See, this is the part where a person should reject that part of his/her biological parents; It’s no-good to keep going on visiting that pit of despair. Seriously now, You know? move off of “Respectable Street” and into “The ‘pit’ of ‘imbeciles’” but the “Imbeciles” are actually sensible and the “Pit” is actually not a pit at all but is good!
Thats actualy a good thing to say…
But only if you imply it to EVERYONE includeing yourself.
Technically you don’t have to use soap, you can use a set of keys, rocks, or any other hard object but soap doesn’t cause as much injury as the other two and thus, is less likely to get you in trouble if you’re not fighting out in the open because the injuries most likely won’t show.
A sock with bars of soap. Never in my life have I ever heard of such a weapon.
I’d say that’s even better because there’s few things safer than working in numbers. And if need be, have something an item to defend yourself with. No need for knives and such, a sock with a few bars of soap in it can be a surprisingly effective and easy to use club.
My point is still the same, stand up for yourself, take the necessary means to do so, don’t take things standing down, fight back. And I don’t mean fighting back with a gun or a bomb, that helps no one, least of all yourself, but a little physical violence can go a long way to keeping yourself safe from those who would demean and harm you.
Attitude like yours keeps perpetuating the problem, as it always has; thinking bulling is homogeneous and simple, ““just words””. Every kid is an individual, every case of bulling is unique and needs to be treated accordingly; what you suggest is actually forcing the victims to pretend, to not let how hurt they really feel to be acknowledged.
If it was just words, yeah, that’d be okay.
But how about getting your locker covered in a big, pink, spray-painted “FAGGOT”? Or the bully and his numbnuts cronies hiding out and ambushing you, kicking the crap out of you because you don’t treat girls like things to conquer?
Standing up is great, and courage is one of the most valued virtues, but bullies, rarely if ever, work alone. So you have to do the same: get as many people behind you to back you up.
Proving my point once again. Children who are being bullied need to learn how to stand up for themselves and take words for what they are, words. Coddling them just masks the symptoms, it’s not a cure. Humans are assholes, no amount of whining will change this fact, so it’s best to raise the newer generation with this fact and teach them to stand their ground.
You don’t understand how serious it is, we are talking about trauma. People like you who want to sound tough are part of the problem, leave it to the professionals.
Bullying only ruins your life if you let it. Children today need thicker skin and need to learn how to stand up for themselves. Getting babied and coddling their feelings does them no favors in the long run.
It’s more than hurting feelings, bullying can and does ruin lives.
Getting your feelings hurt isn’t reason enough to kill someone. As for calling a bully a piece of shit, that’s some delicious irony if I’ve ever seen any.
Sadly yes. The bullies who tormented my friend were encouraged by their parents. Until they got in trouble for it; then, they were viciously beaten for getting into trouble.
If only it was that easy. Many bullies are themselves bullied, either by other bullies or their parents. Of course, some bullies just like the sick power high it gives them, but they’re more a minority, really.
