its like those people who think Star Trek needs to be Grim dark to be “realistic” and don’t get the “good guys hate violence but if push will kick your ass”
Well, kindness isn’t weakness. But sometimes when those you’re supposed to protect are under attack, then is it still kindness to let them die? Sacrifice isn’t just about one’s physical body and belongings. Sometimes one must sacrifice their own ideals. War is never a good thing but its a helluva lot better than letting everyone you love die or be enslaved.
