It’s just that… It’s not like white people have the color WHITE in the flag. The flag represents ALL colors, so what’s the point in putting in more colors? Not only is it ugly, it really doesn’t change the message of the flag AT ALL.

The older flag is still being used. Just like how there’s multiple versions of the lesbian flag (the one Applejack is holding).
 
I can understand those people were trying to support LGBT people who are racial minorities too. But at the same time, I don’t really care how that new flag looks aesthetically.
