Exactly. The writers never confirm any relationship for the Mane 7… it’s almost like they’re afraid to do so. That or they really just want to frustrate everyone.

No, see, that’s the thing. He’s NOT her boyfriend. He’s not once been referred to as such, and Twilight still refuses to call their “dates” as anymore than “hang outs”.
 
I’m not going to say there isn’t something there. They clearly have feelings for each other, I’m not blind (unlike some people…), but so far, there’s no confirmation that they’ve officially started dating. They’re still in that “almost” stage. So no, officially speaking, Twilight doesn’t have a boyfriend, and if for whatever reason she and Timber were to drift apart, it wouldn’t even be a break up, and just as well, if Twilight were to hook up or anything similar with someone else, it ain’t cheating. She’s not bound to any loyalty to Timber as things are now.

Well Sunset doesn’t but Twilight technically as Timber Tit, but it seems the writers are putting Timber to one side probably because of angry Twilight lovers and people who think he’s an annoying creep.
