Boulder Media is also responsible for animating Friendship Is Magic’s second special “Rainbow Roadtrip” that hade the animation style very similar to the movie. But the movie is animated by DHX and Toon Boom Harmony who is also responsible for animating the first two SpongeBob movies, the Simpsons movie, and even The Princess and the Frog.

Nope. Only the first three were set during or after “This Is Our Big Night” and before Twilight’s coronation.

Yes, the first three Summertime shorts take place during the first EQG movie’s Fall Formal. But I just included them with the other Summertime shorts. I will make a note in the future.
 
However, Sunset’s pre-FG form is actually seen throughout all the normal Summertime shorts (those that aren’t music videos) but besides the first three, there isn’t a specific time where those shorts fit in the EQG timeline.
 
It’s mostly a result of the shorts being animated by Boulder Media instead of DHX, so I would think their studio executives aren’t aware of Sunset’s new form.

Didn’t one of the summertime shorts show Sunset in her pre-FG outfit which meant it took place before that movie?
