Oh, I’m excited because I’ve never had the chance to give my piece on this.
In Twilight’s Kingdom, it was never specifically said that Twilight raising the sun onscreen was her first time doing it.
Actually, the sun continued moving until it set even after Celestia’s magic was drained in the season 4 finale. It seems that the sun and moon raising spells only require input at the beginning of each day/night; at that point, the sun and moon are basically on autopilot until the next day/night.
Yeah, just like in the Season 4 finale, once Celestia and Luna were drained of their Unicorn/Alicorn magic by Cozy’s spell, their manes and tails stopped sparkling and flowing like they normally do. When their magic zipped back into their horns, their manes and tails resumed their natural sparkling and flowing again.
Backing up Genervt. They said in the beginning of the first part that they could move the sun and moon, it was just difficult. We can assume that they had a larger well of magic that would’ve taken longer to drain, or were backing each other up.
They could still move it but it was difficult.
