I’ve seen that being brought up in an Applejack/Adagio fic, actually.
I think they might referring that in this image Applejack is being shipped with Autumn Blaze, which in her pony form looks similarly to Applejack’s mother.
But yeah, Oedipus Complex applies to son and mother, in the other way around is the Electra Complex but is between the daughter and the father.
