It was really sudden though, I’m sure my birds just died of sickness rather than a cat since I lived on the fourth floor. Protective grandma either knew exactly what she was doing or was kind of senile… and jeez, your dad must’ve gone through some unspeakable horrors…
My dad had a similar experience with cats as a kid. he never wants to talk about it. that does sound quite unpleasant ._.
All this pet bird talk gives me the heebie-jeebies. My bird got eaten by a cat or something when I was 10. Pretty traumatizing.. and my parents also made me put a dead bird in the trash because it was mine when I was 11 O_O
My aunt has a parrot, apparently his treatment to things he liked was to bite them and given that he’s a parrot he could theoretically bite off a person’s entire finger if he tried, thus my aunt keeps him in a cage with bars tight enough that he can’t put his beak through them. Although as he’s gotten older he’s definitely gotten less aggressive.
In that case, I want a few. Those neighbor kids at my apartment are annoying.
Too bad they could be very loud and raucous, and being chicken-like creatures they like to peck at anything.
