I know that a lot of stuff was leaked awhile ago, including episode concepts for season 9, but I would still take it with a grain of salt anyway.

It’s probably going to go the other way with Rarity learning that it’s their still friends even though Spike is maturing and liking a bat pony. Only time will tell though.
My opinion on that is that spike needs to get with you know. An actual friggin dragon and one his age. cough cough smolder cough cough

It’s probably for the best… Though, there is a rumor that season 9 may have an actual Sparity (Spike X Rarity) episode so I guess that works.
Look all I want is a little variety. Friendship is great. Fine. Cool.awesome. But a little romance wouldn’t hurt if done right and it’s obvious to me and a lot of people they wanna do the ship but just aren’t.
I think Hasbro would be more concerned with the heteronormative viewership who claim that liberal gender equity is being shoved down their throats rather than the homos who would be joyful of the representation, stereotypical or not. After all, some people and relationships do in fact follow stereotypes, which itself is not a bad thing.
Just not how MLP rolls. It’s more on friendship than it is on “how many characters can we make couples.”. Plus, friendship is easier to handle than homosexuality, because if handled wrong… It would be seen as a stereotype. Which would upset some homosexuals.

Because, I like the ship, I just disagree that BOTH are in love with each other. In my theory, based on the episode, Applejack has a crush on Rarity (like how Spike did until they added Ember) but Rarity doesn’t share the same feelings, seeing Aj as more of a sister than a lover.
You may not be rude like some of the people have been with all this Rarijack drama, but if it’s something you disagree with, why comment at all? It’s best to just hide tags you don’t want to see and move on.
