Well, that’s basically what I mean by the saber’s power source being unstable. The Kyber Crystal is cracked, so that’s why the edges of both the blade and the two hilts are constantly shaking.
It’s international too. The designers of the New Trilogy did that to symbolize how much of an emotionally unstable person Kylo is.
I thought Ren’s sabre was like that because it had a cracked kyber Crystal in it. That’s what gave it the extra blades on the hilt.
I think it’s meant to both imply how unstable the energy powering it is and symbolize how unstable Starlight is. Like it’s the red hot anger within her. That’s why Kylo Ren’s is.
