Do you think we should add an “oc:Aka” tag if this is her fandom-given name? Or should we wait until the name either gets used more often or Badumsquish comes up with an official name?
No, the Akaname pony is a ponified version of a Japanese Yōkai (call the Akaname).
They have exceptionally long tongues and eat dirt and grime. The Yōkai would leave the person ill, but the pony version is clean.
Who doesn’t have a stomach? I’m referring to what would happen if Akaname were vored (i.e. eaten by somepony else).
Makes sense, as signals sent by the brain can only travel so fast through the nerves.

The only thing that’s known is the more she extends her tongue the more sluggish it becomes :P
Nopony knows how long the Akaname’s tongue actually is, but “long enough” always seems to be the answer.
But no, the Akaname doesn’t eat ponies, she just goes to dirty ponies and licks them clean.
And if she were vored, she could just use her tongue as an escape rope… assuming it were long enough, right?
Considering what your username and profile pic are now, that’s not surprising in the least.

Her saliva breaks down and filth and grime which her tongue soaks up like a sponge. It gets EVERYTHING: dirt, grime, mold, mildew, bacteria, you name it. When she’s done you’re just left sopping wet with her saliva which soon drips off or evaporates :D

She just wants that delicious and nutritious (for her) filth and grime. Usually she just goes for filthy places and would rather avoid altercations, but a filthy grubby pony is like bacon or chocolate as well as super nutritious for her. She just can’t help herself sometimes XD
