Even if I don’t quite ship MarbleMac anymore, I remember uploading an image that proved that by Pinkie Pie’s explanation they were only linked by marriage.
OK, this is ridiculous. The Pies and the Apples are so distantly related as to render the familial ties meaningless, at least insofar as relationships go.

And I actually like the ship (fanonwise), just not ok with people claiming they ‘dated’ on Hearthbreakers.
I honestly don’t care about the ship, but these mental gymnastics people perform to declare that it’s somehow incest are really tedious and annoying, if you’re that paranoid that someone might be that distantly related to you, you might as well stop dating altogether. Even if they had a child together there’s nothing to suggest that they’d be any more likely to have birth defects than anyone else, because they’re not closely related enough for it to be incest.
