Being nice means you don’t have to deal with extra conflict, energy, and stress of being mean.  
Life is always easier if you at least try to be nice to others (by default).

you’re right though, I have taken this a little too seriously, still I did get the sorts of replies I came to expect. This place has become a bit of a synagogue for the pony religion, that’s my real issue here. I’ll just stop commenting here and now.

Hello! artist here. After reading that entire mumbo jumbo the only thing I can say is: The image itself does say “If you don’t have to” at the end. Implying there’s a when and where for not being nice as well! Assuming the message is to always be nice regardless of situation it’s just a quick logical jump on your part and how flexible the message itself is depends on the perception of whoever reads it, in your case you took it leaning a bit too much towards one side.

I’m also struggling to understand what you mean there, with the solid valid intellectual basis. Can you explain that to me? if it’s just you jumping the gun and assuming I said, “be a dick 24/7”, first off, that’s a really fancy way of just saying that, second, I never said that. Maybe you don’t understand me through my anger, but I’ll explain it clearly, we work with these emotions, we don’t try to destroy them and not being nice isn’t necessarily a defaulted negative that you should avoid always, I think finding ways to speak your mind, whether nice or BAD, is what we should be worried about, the part of how to do it. Isn’t that what everyone has already been doing for the longest time, even here?

Whatever little it did teach me, is something different from what we’re talking about and that felt more like something that came from the writer directly, as opposed to the more general advice of, “Be Nice” from the show, but please, do go on educating and teaching me how to be a good person.

You are not the only person in this world, your freedom ends when someone else freedom starts. So there isn’t even a solid valid intellectual basis to freely act like a dick to other people.

exactly what I expected to hear, “it’s aimed at you”, the stupidest argument ever made. It is aimed at me, just as much as it is aimed at you and everyone else that already know how to be nice and if you’re going to tell me I don’t, I just have no words for you, the fact that you’d take so much from this stupid image, this image that is drenched in self-irony, it’s just, you’re not thinking is what this is…
 
Either that, or you don’t know what a bad situation is, to know how frivolous and pointless this is and how much people rely on their frustration to communicate, it’s closing in on ourselves, being facetious, condescending, passive aggressive, that’s what is stamping on communication and even then, frustration isn’t also always the best option, just like everything else I mentioned isn’t also the Fucking Devil! Everything can be appropriate when you know how to use it, or when to use it and knowing when is done through learning, observation and absorbing through social interactions, because doing any of these sorts of things varies from person to person and how they’ll take it in.

You’re only offended because it’s aimed at you. Being nice is the easier option, and it’s the one that rewards you. It really is a simple no-brainer, so yes this is condescending. Because you have to be that stupid to be mean… Or maybe you stubbed your toe recently, something like that is when it’s okay to be mean for a bit. Just remember to apologize afterwords.

the fact that you need to even say this, as if you have a greater message to show, shows just how fucked you really are, because I don’t think you really understand people when you make messages like these. This is just condescension at best.
