I don’t watch FiM. I know people who watch EqG who have never watched FiM. Children are the primary audience.

Any audience should at least have the knowledge of FiM b4 watching EG.I don’t think it’s matter in context to know that Zephyr is Fluttershy’s brother.
Do they mention his name in the short? Because I don’t think they do. Imagine if in order for children(the target audience) to understand every cartoon they watched, they had to do research?
