For those of you who bought this shop >>1548303 and found it didn’t generate gems like it’s supposed to, fear not. The latest update corrects the issue, and it now generates gems as advertised. Also, having three ponies employed makes it generate two gems every 9 hours and 45 minutes, making the fastest gem-generating shop in the game.

Actually the price for Celestia was reduced over the years. I think at one point she was 1000.
Technically the Balloon Shop can produce 1 gem every six hours if you buff the first option with a full 3 ponies.
But I assume the existence of all these gem shops is why the gem costs of some characters have just gone through the roof. I remember when 400 gems for Celestia was expensive, now I spy a Yak for 1400.
Oh, dang. I didn’t realize that even existed.
Aw. Real money. I play for no money. Oh well. Guess I’ll stick to my method. The “2 videos per day” also works for me.

Coliseum: 2 gems every 9 hr 45 min.
Weather Factory: 2 gems every 10 hr
Pet Shop: 2 gems every 12 hr
Houseplant Shop: 2 gems every 20 hr
Balloon Shop: 2 gems every 20 hr
The first four mentioned were available in bundles sold for real money. The fifth, the Balloon Shop, was exclusively available as a rare prize during the Ponyville Party event.
