They’re actually Vehicon drones. “Beast Machines” has Megatron basically turn into the Transformer equivalent of Starlight Glimmer. (A fascist hell-bent on destroying all individuality and creating a world populated by their obedient, unthinking servants, with the capability of removing what makes members of their race what they are, and owned by Hasbro.)
 
Just to further make my point, here’s a little chat from the show:

Technicaly, yeah they’d be. But the phrase is to show that it’d be meaningless. If everyone was a Princess, it no longer would grant you special power or authority over anything or anyone which is the whole point.
