A standard guitar has six strings, while a standard bass guitar has four. While 5 string basses aren’t that odd, a four string guitar means it’s a tenor guitar, which is a specialty guitar. It is used in stuff like western music, andwould work horribly for anything like rock or pop.

I’m more bugged by how RD’s guitar has 4 strings while AJ’s bass has 5. Yes, I know about 5 string basses, but it still bothers me that MS drew the bass with more strings than the guitar. Being a guitarist, it just bugs me to no end.
