Sometimes, the world is a mean place. It throws everything it has onto you, and everypony seems to act against you. But everything is just half as bad, if there’s a friend by your side, who genuinely cares.
Anyway, enough with the cheesiness! This idea came to me yesterday morning (yes, had a lot of time to draw yesterday). Originally the plan was to make a pic of Fluttershy sitting sad and lonely near this little stream, contemplating. But I just couldn’t let her sit there all alone in her gloom, and I’m very glad that I didn’t!

Just the thought of someone caring is so touching.
It’s weird, though, because I do know I got a friend who cares but… I dunno. Maybe you just make yourself lonely sometimes because you don’t know what to say and you don’t know what they could say.
