I have no problem with the Dialogue and even if, i would not ranting online about it. 
But thats the problem these days. Everyone is a “critic” about Bullshit.

I forgot about the separate windmill scene with the mane six that obviously takes place in the same location.
 
Reason I was guessing flashback is none of these locals are things we’ve ever seen in Equestria.  
So perhaps the mane six are gonna be adventuring outside their borders in the movie.  
Maybe they have to get a quest item far away to stop the Storm King?

I don’t know. It feels more like Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Even the animation in that show is equivalent to this movie.

nah man, look at the trailer: this town looks to be the place that the giant Windmill wheel the mane six are pushing that goes flying is from. Most likely Tempest is looking for them there, the locals are like “piss off, we don’t take orders” due to being a pretty rough and tumble place, and she beats up the first guy who gives her lip to cow the others into compliance.

Wonder if this scene is some kind of flashback, maybe shortly before Storm King recruits Tempest Storm?  
Except the fact his minions already sport a similar shade of red streak on their manes/fur.  
This scene also gives Tempest a kind of ‘samurai jack’ vibe,  
like she’s a lone pony in a rougher world outside Equestria.
 
Grubber may turn out to be the ‘token idiot’ character,  
but this dialogue itself just seems like a ‘dudebro’ thing to exclaim after their buddy kicked ass.  
‘Dudebro’ dialogue is not idiotic by default, but it certainly can be sometimes.  
Final verdict: Neutral reaction to Grubber’s dialogue here. Could do with a sunglasses edit.
