1.) He was cringing at her impersonating her friends and would rather see her be herself  
2.) He was in on laughing with the rest of his team so that they wouldn’t ditch him again  
3.) He asked her if she was okay when nobody else did and he was also excited at the end to have her as apart of their team  
4.) Even if he wasn’t seen thanking her in the show, he seems to appreciate her efforts not only as a flier, but as one of the saviors of Equestria  
5.) If you hate the ship, leave… it’s as simple as that, I think you should try it
