Starlight Glimmer was sent back to Friendship Kindergarten that very same day.
Twilight wanted to make love to Shining Armor, Cadence was okay with it, but Shining was a bit reluctant, feeling that would still be cheating. Now Shining Armor need not worry, for they all can just blame Starlight, claiming the Cutie-Switch messed with their minds and hormones.
(Please note: No pony considered the incest to be a problem, except maybe Starlight at first at least.)
That would have been a so much better ending.

I think that Twilight could do just that considering her specialty.
I don’t think she would ever attempt to do that to Starlight though.

You know, that’s kind of how I figured Season 5 would end. Starlight would try to “equalize” all of Equestria, and would only be finally defeated by having her own cutie mark removed and being forced to live as a blank flank.
So she could attend graduate courses
Eh, you know… diploma mills, decay of modern society, something something millennials.
