Everyone loves a good tragic hero, and here is the second picture in a series of.. some pictures.
Some time after the first one, the burns are healing, but her skin is still marred with the aftermath of the battle with Tirek.
(Note that there are not two Twilights in a double ended bed, but due to the assymetry of her injuries, I wanted to show both sides of the pony as it were)

Alas, I’ve not really had much time or inspiration to work on this.
I have a half-finished “updated” slightly more graphic version I’ve been meaning to complete for a while but I never really get around to it.
Yeah the saving grace is that her horn and magic survived the blast at least.
Her right eye is intact, but didn’t escape wholly unscathed, hopefully she’ll keep some of her vision. Only time will tell at this stage!
On the bright side, her horn appears undamaged. It looks like her tail will grow back, at least, and with alicorn Pegasus magic in her, she can ride on clouds at ground level.
