It’s an ancap paradise. There is no government, and everything is privatized. How else does a public high school end up being so extravagant? Seriously, find me one non-privatized school with a statue as large and flamboyant as the one out front. You won’t even try because you know you can’t.

This was always my big issue with equestria girls, where the hell we’re any authority figures? The first movie the front gets blown off the school and the entire student body is exposed to shimmers demon magic and yet there is never mention of the police or government getting involved to do any investigation. Pretty much every movie crazy shit happens and never once do you hear of any fallout. Makes me think the gov is nonexistent, incompetent, complicit, or unconcerned with the whole magic and monsters mucking up the world. Like I get it that its a show for kids but they could have explained it in a passing comment or something.
