Celestia and Luna’s father was an ex-soldier before he became a blacksmith, yes? Sombra could have his old commander or fellow soldier who decided that settling down wasn’t for him and became a mercenary, earning fame and fortune across countless battlefields all over Equestria. He could also help the Sisters pre and post-ascension as an allied warlord who provided the ponies and quipment to for them to unite Equestria. And as a result they reward him by making him the first Guard Captain and by his request teach him alicorn magic. Only to realise that giving such power to a stallion born for battle was a terrible idea.

I don’t really have any strong ideas for him, no. I don’t know. He’s never really piqued my interest. That said, I did enjoy Wiggles’ Ask King Sombra and the comics did try to flesh him out a bit more (for better or for worse).

Humor is often a very subjective thing. So it’s okay that you don’t enjoy this particular image. No joke is a hit with everyone as there are very few absolutes at all with humor. Just try to understand that others have a different sense of humor than you and that’s okay too.

Same logic: Why should I put a lot of energy into explaining why the pic isn’t funny, when the pic itself is so low energy? And I honestly thought it was obvious, needing nothing more than a statement. I cannot fathom how anyone could find this funny.  
But fine: There’s no joke. Nothing witty. Just… “butts lmao”. I don’t know how to break this down for you, when it’s already so basic there’s no constituent parts to break it into. It’s just ponies saying they’re attracted to each other, for fucks sake.
