As the few know anti-tank mines have been planted in an area when there is some delay has been built in when the goal is to have the main battle tank over the landmine when it goes off to instantly vaporize armor and leave the crew shredded.
The rats were trained to identify mines by smelling the Hi-ex compound.
Depends on the mine, most real life mines I’ve herd about don’t explode unless you release pressure from the pressure plate, this doesn’t mean that fallout or post apocalyptic mines do but it does help a lot when trying to ‘demine’ an area you have already ‘mined’ if you have the ability to take your time disarming them and whatnot. (at least that’s the reason I think they do that in the first place, otherwise why even bother with delayed explosion mines?).

As stated here by @CrushingVictory this is probably earlypip, otherwise she would have not even had to bother saying anything, the mine wouldn’t have gone off. She does get self-levitation down later on, though, if you’re wondering.
