Starlight only has three emotes on the subreddit, so by necessity her emotions are pretty much just ‘detached snark’ and ‘intense anger.’ Much like with Celestia, her Ponymotes character stems from that, so Starlight’s just a lot of homicide bundled behind a face that says “Homicide is wrong?”

I was honestly expecting her to change into a different expression, say when she squints at Trixie in the first part of the Season 6 finale, but this drives home her threatening appearance much better XD
