That’s one possible job, but I was just struck by the idea of how Fluttershy would deal with wealth when she has no real needs and all of her wants are basically met as well. As it turns out, poorly.
The only jobs we’ve seen Fluttershy do in the show are:
The first two are probably government jobs, so Flutters should be getting a check from Mayor Mare regularly. The pet grooming may just be a side job to bring in extra bits.

She does seem to have the most poorly-defined job of the Mane Six. I always figured she was basically Wildlife Control for the town, but it’s never been set in stone by canon.
