Description

I’m okay with them bringing back the Predacons but why are they now dragon-based as opposed to based on animals? Why aren’t they counterparts for the Dinobots? Why is Predaking now a single entity?

Dragons did come up before and it was always with the Decepticons, also the new “beast” of Beast Hunters is not confirmed to be the Predacons, jest that one is called Predaking is all that was confirmed.

I remember Megatron being a Red Dragon in Beast Wars after he was done with the T-Rex Transformation.

But still, I’m used to Predaking being a combiner. Ah well, won’t be the first time Hasbro released a dragon-based Transformer. Besides, we might get dinosaurs vs dragons if they’re bringing in the Dinobots. Also, I’m still waiting for my Combiners.

Well, each continuity is different. Some characters in one continuity have the names of characters from another continuity, but are absolutely nothing like those characters. This is for two reasons: One, Hasbro needs to keep using their copyrighted names so they don’t lose them. Two, alternate universes, dude.
 
Also, Predaking is a badass as fuck name for a dragon.
