I don’t know actually, and frankly I don’t care to know. Besides, there’s already enough Sanik-hatred on the internet.
Not like Pokémon crossovers are any better/worse frankly.

That’s hilarious, though I felt they were almost more like brothers.
I must add I liked the “evil bro fist.” lol the subtle gags were great, and they had alot of clever nods to both series throughout.

I see. BTW my favorite part was Eggman & Wiley’s interactions.

I meant they got turned into cannon fodder/easily dispatched despite the odds (more so in the first crossover. the second had the odds between the good guys and bad guys much more ’even).
Perhaps, though to be fair, some gamers can beat them quite easily. ;)
I haven’t gotten to read the second Sonic & Megaman crossover, but it sounds promsing. Especially, ‘cause more Sega & Capcom characters get to appear in it. Like NiGHTS, and Firebrand of “Gargoyle’s Quest.”
and even then the comic(s) sacrificed one part of the formula to make the rest look good (the robot master army and the maverick army in both crossovers got chumped to make the heroes look good).
Indeed, like while a Sonic & Megaman game would’ve sounded cool on paper, when you think about it fans familiar with only one series, or the other, would only be pleased with half the game, and both play to differently to fit in as a game. That’s probably why it worked out better as a comic. The comic also allowed many characters from both series to appear, as well.
It depends on what kind of game I guess, but comic has much more leeway in execution (game design, they have to factor so many stuff that it’s almost impossible to please both camps).
It’s no surprise, bronies blood boil when they see Sanik on this site.
Still, the Sonic & Megaman official crossover comic was quite good. Sonic & MLP wouldn’t work as a “game,” but might work as a comic.
