The Great Tutankoopa of Dry Dry Ruins has a new hobby after being chased by one of his chain chomps. He goes to Sweet Apple Acres to meet Applejack and Apple Bloom, and shows his gratitude by summoning a giant apple. The ponies of the Apple family are very pleased of Tutankoopa’s good actions, or was he bluffing.

That’s what I was thinking too. Tutankoopa was ordered by Bowser to take care of one of the Mane 6. I could see Chompple as a mini-boss before the Apples face the main boss.
(A chain chomp apple was what I kinda imagined too, considering those were Tutankoopa’s main themed underlings.)

Oh boy, don’t let the delicious looking red fruit fool you! It’s really a Chain Chomp that, somehow, morphed into an apple. Probably due to Tutankoopa’s magic influence. Chompples love to trick unsuspecting victims and take a bite out of them! Watch out for its nasty Frenzy Chomp attack, it’ll due 8 Atk damages to everyone!
