Description
For my 17th commission, a zoo employee named Jeanie asked if I could draw her a Masai Giraffe, after I told her that I was drawing for a living for the time being.
I really hope she’ll enjoy this, for this was fun to draw!
Maybe she is Zeka’s relative from another region. She is much taller than she is though, for Masai Giraffes can reach heights of 20 feet!
Zeka is around 15 and half or so, being a Reticulated Giraffe and all.
There are about 9 different subspecies of Giraffe in Africa.

I saw the episode yeah! I was disappointed that she didn’t speak, since she had the sapient pony eyes, but I’m glad that they introduced more species.

I think it would be conveyed much better if it had the artstyle of MLP, and not just similar design.

Then you would probably dislike my whole gallery, if that’s the case.
I just try to expand the style to different species that are not seen that often in the fandom or show.
I personally dislike the idea of many non pony creatures. I like Zecora as a unique non pony.
The style of the face and eyes that I draw my animals in, is inspired by the look of the MLP style. So, they are basically found in the MLP equivalent of Africa. For lack of a better name.
I really hope that the actual show will delve into Zecora’s homeland at some point. Since shes a Zebra, and they say she comes from a far away land, this would only make sense for her to come from somewhere that’s equivalent to Africa, with all it’s hooved animals being sentient like ponies.
It would make for a great world-building episode if the creators actually do it!
