Celestia has just completely mentally checked out of this princess thing ever since Twilight became a princess.

Try going six seasons without your own episode and being constantly shoved in the background like an extra and having little to no dialogue, see how you feel.

Also, most magic tends to match either the mane or eye color of the pony using it. Notable exceptions are Shining Armor (purple like his sister, though his mark have have something to do with how he’d protect her, hence his signature shield spell), and a guard during the Wonderbolts Rally during Sweet and Elite (who lifted the rubber rope. He was brown all around but had green magic).

I don’t think her patience runout has anything to do with Miss Sue here.  
I think it was the “Trixie’s final act” general drama what got into her nerves. Maybe.  
Because I totally support the theory Celestia has already seen too many suicide attempts and foresaw what would happen next.  
If I were a Sun-based Life deity I’d be pissed or unimpressed too.

Celestia could clearly tell twilight had messed SOMETHING up and wanted her to come clean.
 
Instead, TWILIGHT messed up SO bad because of HER hangups that she “doesn’t think she has” because she’s the “Princess of Friendship” and “She doesn’t have hangups” (something Discord tried to point out LAST SEASON that could lead to Twilight going Darkside), that she nearly DESTROYED a friendship of her first student and nearly lead to the suicide of her rival.
 
Starlight didn’t mess anything up. Trixie stumbled over words because she hasn’t exactly had any friends and it lead to a misunderstanding. A Misunderstanding made WORSE by Twilight. Trixie regretted her actions to the point of no longer having any self worth.
 
Of all the messups Twilight has had, this is perhaps the first that has lead to someone she knows TRYING to kill themselves.

Part of me thinks she’s just a tad let down of Twi’s attitude regarding various subjects, the most important ones being covered by @Background Pony #6DB5. But the ending gag showed her still bored out of her mind without Twi being dumb dumb so…
 
… Or maybe we shouldn’t take an end gag seriously like we did with Fluttershy’s fangs…

but honestly she was extremely out of character in this episode, pitty is it’s just going to rub salt on the wound and give people something new to make fun of her with.

For starters, the episode where its ‘tired of your dumb shit’ had her happily visiting twilight.
 
also the guys saiyng this are ignoring context. in both situations twilight was either not focusing, or was trying to pull some shit.  
Celestia knew twilight was lying and was waiting for her to pony up and admit it.
