Probably one of the most insidious types of villains in many forms of media.
IRL as well.
She created a cult with a very morally questionable philosophy and practices, taking from ponies their cutie mark. After which then going back to the past to change history for her own selfish reasons.
For me that’s enough to qualify as a villain.

She also seems to lack humor.
Oddly enough, it does suit her very well.
She wasn’t a villain. More of an antagonist with a morally questionable philosophy, as it were.

For some reason, I can totally see Starlight being of eastern heritage.
Because China is the biggest socialism country now.
Probably has to do with Starlight claiming the staff was one of Meadowbrook’s artifacts who Twilght said was an eastern unicron.
