And I just noticed it was Crusaders Of The Lost Mark where they stopped wearing them. So an episode where the CMC grew up by getting cutie marks and Diamond Tiara grew up by deciding to be a nicer pony also had a subtle hint about the Cake Twins growing up too?
Just… damn this show is amazing sometimes.
Pay attention, man. The Cake twins don’t wear diapers by season 5.

I’ve just had the image going through my mind of Quiddity babysitting the Cake’s foals, and having to change one of their diapers… She suddenly starts having second thoughts about babies as soon as she sees the murky, brown mass that’s floating its way around her goo. Being a goo pony in that scenario would not make for a happy time.
(Seriously, this fits perfectly with my headcanon that she loves babies literally to the point of obsession)
