Description

Four of the six EQG minis. Surprisingly easy to keep upright, except Rarity. Something appears to be wrong with her leg joints.

Speaking of joints, even AJ’s ponytail is articulated. lol

Ah, I suspected as such. Still, I think most of us can live with just the figures. The only accessory that is totally necessary is AJ’s hat, after all.

there’s some leniency on the kick test but the basic rule is the figure can sustain a kicking position without the aid of display stands.

gonna guess it’ll be a while before those figs get over here in our shores.

The ones I got were only the basic figurines, no accessories (other than AJ’s hat). They didn’t seem to have any of the play sets yet so no clue on the price of those.

Wow. That’s….significantly less than I would’ve expected. Are we talking “complete with accessories” or one of those “cheaper with fewer accessories” lines they sometimes have? I remember both G.I.Joe and Transformers having those.

I just picked up a few of them yesterday, and while you could probably pose them in such a way, or at least very close, I personally don’t think that you could ever get them to balance in such a position. They’re very top heavy with such big heads and hair.
The little skirts are a soft rubber material and also come off with a small tab in the back.
The arm and leg joints are very well articulated, the waist unfortunatley is not articulated at all, and the head is a little restricted, being almost unable to bend back on most of them due to the hair and having somewhat limited forward movement.
I got them for about $7 each at Walmart.

I’ll second that issue with Rarity. Love the design, but she is extremely difficult to make stand upright.

Actually, I’ve noticed there are a few different versions of some of these so far, like the Rarity one with curlers in her hair. Are they interchangeable at all? Or would trying to swap heads/hair/outfits probabaly destroy them?

The dolls were hideous. I will actually buy some of these Minis for collectible purposes.

I’ll get Twilight at least, maybe Rarity and Applejack, but I’m waiting for Adagio Dazzle, Trixie Lulamoon, Lemon Zest, Octavia and Vinyl Scratch.

There are some background Humans I would buy if they got Minis made of them, as well, though. Like Pixel Pazaz, Violet Blur, Orange Sherbet, Mystery Mint, Water Melody, Frosty Orange and Melon Mint.

What’s with Rainbow’s Blue hair, though. I also wish it was possible to straighten out Twilight’s hair.

Also, have you guys noticed Rainbow is wearing shorts and not a skirt here?

I can’t say the same for the Dazzlings and Sugarcoat, but I know Sunset has a listing on Amazon, along side DJ-Pon3. Plus it’s been confirmed that there will be 25 characters in this line.

NYC Toy Fair is happening in February, so we might at least see Sunset there.
