Yep, it’s a XE series.
Either that or a 65XE. It’s way too small to be an ST.
Not so much maintaining as finding ways to make them fly to the moon, as it were.
Programming old computers… soon to be the modern equivalent of maintaining “classic” cars.
Or not… lol. Still, kudos for putting in the time to learn that stuff.
Yeah, the first computer I ever used was a Commodore 64. It was big and clunky, and getting it to run a disk (big giant 5.25” floppy) felt like it required a typed command on par with transcribing War and Peace… but I still have fond memories of the thing.
That was before my time. Before I was born, even. But I dabble (and procrastinate :P) in programming the Atari VCS, so I think I know what you mean.
It probably dates me to admit this, but there are times I miss the days when computers had names. Much as I love the flexibility of modern PC construction and the things you can do with them, they’ll just never have the personality my old Commodore 64 had.
That looks an Atari 130XE. Is it?
