Bantha, you stole and lazily recolored Bantha’s artwork. I’m so disappointed in you. I’m telling Bantha, and there’s nothing you can do to stop me, Bantha.
It could have been just done in a rush.
And while it’s kind of bad in relation with the usual Bantha’s style, it’s not the “stylistic suck” that the tag implies.
The tag “stylistic suck” implies either no talent at all - which is quite not Bantha’s case - or an effort to look talentless. So…

Look at it this way. Those wings can certainly be used for symbolism purposes. Marble does look like an innocent pony, not to mention Marble and Mac are having a sweet moment here.
If the edit was done by the original artist themselves, then there’s no reason that they would do such a crappy job at masking it other than if it was intentional. I think if anything, at least they’d have a pretty good grasp on how you would make these kinds of edits.

Yea, they fit in with the background, almost looking like piles of hay. I’ll admit, I don’t think I saw them until you pointed it out.
The rationale is that the edited portion is intentionally sucky. Just because it wasn’t literally done in MSPaint with distorted stick figures doesn’t mean it doesn’t fit; “unpolished” does not mean “incomplete” in this instance, as the lack of polish is a part of the image rather than the state of it. What do you think ‘stylistic’ means?
It might be a good idea to discuss removing someone else’s tag before doing it, you know? Especially when you’re removing attempts by multiple people. Tag wars aren’t cool.

There’s a difference between something unpolished and something that’s definitive but sucks.

Well, basically everyone who would like the original image would like this one too, plus a few additional people who like MarbleMac but not FlutterMac. I’d say a few people would be lost from seeing the obvious edit and not getting the joke, but it definitely hits more demographics right than the original image did.

Interesting fact about Pinkie Pie. Pinkie was originally based on Surprise from G1, who was indeed a Pegasus pony. Had they stuck with Pinkie being a Pegasus, Marble might very well be a pegasus as well.
