Pony Time Adventures! [ranging]

The changeling treked towards the other figure. It chirped out a cautious call. “H-hello? Is some… buggy out there?” It asked. It shielded its eyes from the twin fireballs that came down until they landed, and it internally debated which one to go to first.

The figure audibly groans a bit in pain, confusion, and dread, oddly enough. It hadn’t opened its eyes yet.

Considering they landed close enough to create a singular crater, there isn’t much to debate.

The changeling shrugged to itself before setting off. He started trying to switch into the tripple-beat step of a canter and then slowly into the four-beat gallop to reach its destination faster.

it felt something else, like a weak tug on its mind… it came from nearby.

Upon reaching the crater, he finds a pair of unicorns in the center, unconscious… They could be twins, they’re almost mirror images- besides being the opposite gender…

The changeling felt the tug on its mind and promptly shielded it out of fear. Then, as curiosity took over, opened back up and tried to connect with whatever was reaching out as it inspected the two twins. It reached down to rouse them from sleep giving concerned chirps.

The changeling called out in worry to its companion. One so obviously like itself despite the differences. “Uh… Are you… like me?”

the presence had felt the shielding and was now being more careful, a somewhat chirpy male voice became audible.
 
“i think i can feel you nearby… i’ll come over, i’m glad i’m not alone.”

The two open their eyes simultaneously, look at each other, then at the ’ling.  
Simultaneous: “Aahhh, not this shit again…”

The changeling considered the words for a second. “Well… that’s good. I’m… Switchlock, I think.” He chirped back a cautiously freindly greeting.

Switch tilted his head in confusion. He gave another confused sound, like he was asking what they meant.

Switch perked up at the sound of a familiar word. “So we are all changed… We need to group up.” he suggested to the others over what he could only assume was the Hive Mind. He tried to figure out some way to communicate this fact to the twin ponies.

“Changed? Wat?” With the odd noises following that, it seemed that the being discovered what he meant by “changed”.
