Nobody. The toy was available for only a year because it’s price ($50 from 1950) was too prohibitive to make it popular, and when people finally found out that the goddamn thing was a literal cancer fountain the toy was already long gone from the shelves.  
Only 5,000 units were made from that particular toy, but other toy companies also had their own radiactive toys as well.  
 
This one in particular included a live radium sample for experiments.

All media in the US had to be essentially G rated due to the Hays Code, the threat of nuclear annihilation was all over the place, Thomas Midgley had unwittingly and unknowingly poisoned the US for centuries to come and added an extra digit or two to the crime rate…

I don’t mind big band music or early-mid 50’s songs. By 1957, music started entering a dark age, when pop music started getting dumber, rock n roll became watered down by 1960, and we had The Four Seasons. shudders

Basically, music didn’t start improving until 1963, when The Beach Boys and The Beatles broke out making music good again.

OH that explains it. I also noticed some early 60’s there.

I would have liked to see FiM making an episode built around the ponies’s comically wrong knowdeledge about dangerous spells and magical materials, as a mirror to the 50’s atrocious misinformation regarding atomic and nuclear power.  
Episode ends with the ponies (and even Celestia) realizing how wrong they were all along and incorporating the new and improved knowdeledge to Equestria’s education, just before making some offhand comments to suggest they were also epically wrong about other things as well.

I LOVE 80’s music! It’s my favorite decade of music. The 90’s is pretty overrated when it comes to a lot of things, especially the music. People give it way too much praise and credit than it deserves.
