S4 had a mute Derpy, but she was in the episodes.

S5 will have Derpy in all the episodes, and she will talk in some.
 
S6 not only will have Derpy in all the episodes, but she will be a secondary part to the plot, and talk in most of them.
 
S7 not only will have Derpy as a secondary part of the plot, but she gets a new hairstyle and a promotion to “Recurrer”, while a new Raindrops recolor appears out of nowhere. She will become a kinda-friend of the Mane 6, and appear in the theme song.
 
S8 will make canon most of the fanon about Derpy, and make her a “main recurrer” similiar to CMC and Princess Luna. Yup. Dinky Hooves enters the CMC.
 
S9 makes Derpy have adventures with the Mane 6 and makes her have deep relationships with them, getting a Cutie Mark background story, and being considered the (unofficial) Seventh Mane 6.
 
S10 has Derpy getting the Element of Muffins, and becoming one of Twilight’s close circle of friends. She gets a space in the voice actor credits.
 
G5 Derpy Hooves is one of the core 7 characters (Derpy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Lily Blossom, Twilight Sparkle, Minty, and a new pony.) She’s actually the main protagonist of the show.
 
G6: MLP lasting 55 years? MLP lasting 55 years! G6 is all-about-Derpy. As she is not only the main protagonist, but she becomes the chosen one! Until it’s revealed G6 Pinkie Pie is actually the chosen one. Until it’s actually G6 Rainbow Dash who is the chosen one. Until Spike is the chosen one. Until a rock is the chosen one. Until a recurring background character with a slightly unique design that was supposed to be the chosen one from the start and may or may not have become a fan favorite… yeah, (s)he’s the Chosen One. But Derpy still is a chosen one, but from another phropecy. Involving muffin-ponies from another planet, who have advanced technology. But Derpy and the chosen one from the other phropecy are actually first cousins, the two phropecies being pretty intertwined and connected between them.

Yup, but not like in seasons 1 and 2 where she appeared in every episode (except for cases where she would not have been there, and Bridle Gossip, though it’s possible they had nowhere to put her in the latter.)

I believe (and I may be wrong) she was in every episode in S2.  
Not withstanding her “Premiere” in S1E2, She appeared occasionally in S1 in “Feeling Pinkie Keen” and afterwards.
 
…But I’m just repeating common knowledge here…

Derpy actually had somewhat of a role in Rainbow Falls plot. She was supposed to be the Dash’s replacement. She dropped the flag that triggered RD’s “rainbow vision”. This was also one of the few times the main casts even referred to her.
