Though if Celestia is in charge of the day and Luna the night, what would Twilight be responsible for? Fluttershy’s probably destined to become the nature goddess. Rarity’s probably destined to become like Equestria’s answer to Santa Claus spreading generosity and good will toward ponies of all kinds on Hearth’s warming. Pinkie will come to those who are feeling down… and Spike will probably have control over how effective communications are in Equestria. What would Twilight be responsible for?

Despite being a princess, she’ll always make time for her number one assistant. In fact, if her being a princess is permanent (or even temporary) she’ll need him more than ever, to give her advice, and keep her from cracking under the pressure.

Lucky spike. He’d be best friends with a princess! He’ll be able to get all the mares, and gems.

I think this technically makes Spike a prince of some sort.
