The date of the Facebook post is a couple of months ago.
 
Unless the fan project isn’t released yet, then it’s probably not referring to that. But then again, I’d find it even harder to believe that she voiced a fan project and the official character.

Considering the information, I think that would be a poor bet.
 
According to EqD and the rest of the information outside of this screenshot, DeLisle was asked to sign some paraphernalia with something the character she was portraying might say. She wrote “muffins.”
 
It leads only to Derpy Hooves. Octavia has had little to no connection to muffins in fandom.
 
Now, of course, she could just be screwing with us. But unless she’s really savvy on the fandom, she knows enough about Derpy Hooves, a fan-perpetuated background character, to say something that fandom Derpy would say.
 
The most obvious reason for that is because she’s voicing the role.
 
So I’m not sold on the Return of Derpy Hooves, but I wouldn’t base that doubt on this bit of information. From what I understand, her previous roles are more aligned with Octavia’s fan personality. But this evidence points specifically at Derpy.
