It amazes me how Caliborn is both an incredibly frightening and incredibly funny villain. I’ve never been so simultaneously entertained and dismayed at the same time. He also manages to be unlikable at the same time, which is a really weird combination- you can’t cheer for him, but you can’t not find everything he does fucking hilarious.

In my humble opinion, he’s a fantastic villain. He’s an antithesis of all the optimistic themes of Homestuck (teamwork, emotional growth, creativity, feminism) while the embodiment of all the negative themes (temporal inevitability).
 
He’s also just the right combination of hilarious and repulsive.

I identify with him to an extent that quite frankly frightens me (that is to say, at all). We both enjoyed the Trickster shenanigans 100%, we both hate the interminable relationship drama, and we both… fucking… love…
